I was talking to the dude at Podtrac and his review of Christmas Podcasts over all was BRUTAL

He said we're basically in 2008 in our niche

He says we're definitely seeing a spike during the Pandemic and he predicts a lot of dead podcasts in the next 18 months

You might be surprised how well your podcast does in the non-Christmas months of the year

In fact, one of your worst months, at least in a normal year, would be December.

I know I've ran across a few dead podcasts in my quest for Christmas Content

Yes, we're trying to build our list but we're taking a slow approach and trying to highlight those most current

Interesting. Some do it just for fun and run out of steam, I guess

Not sure yet how to classify the still-available-but-no-longer-publishing pods out there.

There's that plus I've ran across a few story type podcasts that only run a few episodes then the story is done

That's a thing in podcasting over all e_xander and the story podcasts have a place

I've been told many times over the years we could not survive because we're seasonal.

Just like downloading a book to listen to, but in serial form
